Ron Patchett

Ron Patchett, affectionately known as "Wheelman" in the automotive film community, discovered his twin passions for cars and movies during his formative years in rural Indiana. Growing up on a farm, Ron spent countless hours tinkering with tractors and classic cars in his father's barn. His weekends were often capped off with trips to the local drive-in, where he fell in love with car chase sequences and road movies.After studying Journalism at Indiana University, Ron moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dream of combining his love for writing, cars, and film. He cut his teeth as an automotive journalist for several magazines before launching Driving Movies. When he's not critiquing the latest car flick or unearthing forgotten automotive gems from cinema history, Ron can be found at classic car shows or organizing movie-themed road rallies along the Pacific Coast Highway.
